7cb1d79195 Laura and Remington are hired by three video game creators to find their missing partner, who has apparently disappeared with a large portion of the company's assets and their newest video game. Very good, early first season episode (third episode aired) of RS (the first season episodes were easily the best of the series).

Special recognition to guest star George D. Wallace (as Emery Arnok - the proverbial third wheel), who provided a great comic counterpart to Pierce Brosnan.

Also, part of the plot pays homage to North By Northwest, perhaps Hitchcock's best film.

I loved these light, fun episodes.

Peter Scolari (of Bosom Buddies and Newhart) also stars. It's also cool to see some 1980s "old school" video games (Centipede is clearly visible in one scene). It is already the third episode and we already get a romantic clinch between Laura and Remington Steele which signifies a 'will they/won't they' relationship even though he still cannot be trusted. It must be all that hair lacquer Brosnan has got on.

Murphy Michaels is already a spare part shunted off to Vegas in this episode. A new older character of Emery Arnok is the comedy sidekick herehe keeps stumbling into dead bodies.

Laura and Remington are hired by a video games company to find their missing partner who stole company assets just before they are about to be purchased by a bigger corporation.

It was fun to see all the vintage arcade games from the period and the mystery went along nicelythe missing partner mirrored the fictional Remington Steele a bit.
